The Maven Cognition EIS Fund targets the UK’s mid to deep tech sectors, backing innovative companies with the potential for significant commercial impact. With a focus on Health Tech, Cybersecurity, Clean Tech, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, we aim to invest in businesses with defensible intellectual property and early commercial traction.

The Fund aims to invest in at least five companies minimising concentration risk and ensuring diversification through a combination of early-stage opportunities with longer timelines (7-10+ years) and later-stage investments for potential earlier liquidity (5-7 years).

The Fund invests in smaller and unquoted companies which carry a higher risk than many other forms of investment. There is no guarantee that target returns will be achieved. There is no liquid market for shares in unquoted companies and there can be difficulties in valuing and disposing of investments in such companies. Tax reliefs will depend on the investors’ individual circumstance and are subject to change.
